StageIT System Requirements and
Recommendations

There Are Three Components
Included With StageIT Fire Simulator:
StageIT Instructor:
StageIT Instructor - the main
module used by instructors to author and present fire simulations, to
manage the Media Library, and to create instructor and student
notes. StageIT Instructor is the professional tool for creating
realistic fire simulations that takes advantage of the latest
technologies. We have designed and tested StageIT
Instructor to run best with the new Dual Core processors such as
the Pentium D from Intel. We recommend running StageIT
Instructor on these Dual Core machines because it runs about
twice as fast as the slightly older Pentium IV based machines.
StageIT instructor will run fine on the minimum system as noted
above, but if you are considering buying a new computer to run
it on you should go with the new Dual Core Pentium D systems as
noted above.
StageIT Student:
StageIT Student – used by students in
a networked environment to view simulations under instructor
control. StageIT Student is a much
less demanding application. It does not benefit from the
Dual Core technology since it is not used to create the
simulations. It will run in a networked environment on a
basic workstation as noted above.
License Manager :
Iluminar License
Manager – controls the licenses used by StageIT Instructor and
Student .This system machine needs to be Windows XP
Professional, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows Vista Business or above, Windows 2003
Server or Windows 2000. It can be a server or any other computer
on the network including the StageIT Instructor’s workstation.
Networked Mode:
StageIT fire simulaor s designed to be as flexible as possible in a networked
environment. That is why the system requires Windows XP Pro, Vista Business or
Windows XP Media Center Edition to run StageIT Instructor and
the License Manager. Because StageIT licenses for both
StageIT Instructor and StageIT Student are floating licenses,
you can install either product on as many computers as you like.
The license manager will limit the use of the software to the
number of concurrent users permitted by the licenses purchased
and installed on your system.
